how safe are those anti-bacterial treatments

I recently super dosed my pond over the course of 2 weeks with anti-fungal pimafix. It's also an anti-bacterial. Also, I raised the salt from .1% to .2%. In the following couple weeks I witnessed a positive change in the fish, but I also saw all the algea on the sides of the pond and on the waterfall slowly die. My ammonia and nitrite have also spiked to .25ppm and whatever the first color other than 0ppm for nitrite.

Everytime I stop the pump and restart it, I see a lot of the filter's bacteria flushed out of the filter. I can't help but wonder if that's due to the extensive use (within guidelines) of pimafix and possibly the concurrent dosage of salt. I'm reluctant to make a water change because the temperatures are so low still this summer, and I want the fish to recover a bit more before stressing them with a water change.

I'm not sure which chemical did what, but it's definitely not a desirable side-effect. Watch out.
